Wallpaper VS Airbrushed Murals
We will explain the HUGE difference between Wallpaper and Airbrushed Murals. As we do use airbrush artwork for our custom props and black light scenes, we tend to shy away from large airbrushed wall murals. Our reasoning for this came from past experience and keeping our customers projects in mind after the installation for years to come.
Example: The airbrushed mural has an unexpected hole, crack, scratch, etc. from an accident that occurred from abuse, a fallen object, moving in new furniture or equipment, expanding the current facility……you get the scenario!
What happens next? Well finding a local airbrush artist that can match the colors or has the same style of painting art background as the original will not likely happen or you will get something that you will not be pleased with!
Contact the company that originally produced it? You contact the company to learn that the airbrush artist that produced your mural no longer works for the company……OR Yes he still works for the company, now what do we need to do. First there is a time schedule that you will need to deal with ( 2 weeks-2 months??) Now you finally have a date that the artist can come, now you will have to pay for their travel expenses, accommodations, board, and not to mention the labor rate that can rang up to $125.00 per hour for the artist as well as setup time. One mishap can cost you thousands of dollars!!
Here is our alternative! Have a mishap? Send us a digital picture of the damaged wall and location, we reprint the damaged section of the mural (since we keep copies of all digital files for each customer), ship it to you, you contact a local wallpaper installer for installation or you may know some one who can install it. Done!
The Plus Side… Your colors match, the art is the same as the original, the repair only took a couple of days, and you saved thousands of dollars as well as time!
